Daimer Industries Introduces Commercial Pressure Washers with Automatic Shut-Off Technology(TM)

The Super Max(TM) 12800 AST and 12820 AST offer convenience for operators of electric-powered pressure washers.

WOBURN, MA - July 20, 2009 - Daimer Industries, a major supplier and worldwide exporter of commercial cleaning products, introduced two new machines featuring its Automatic Shut-Off Technology(TM) (AST®), which switches off key components in electric pressure washers after 30 seconds of inactivity.

"AST® shuts down the pump and motor when the machine is idle," said Matthew Baratta, Daimer.com spokesman. "This is a huge time-saver for pressure washer operators who are working far from the machine. Automatic-shutoff also reduces overheating, and wear and tear on these two critical components."

AST® Spelled Out

AST® is a proprietary technology that works as follows: When engaged, the technology shuts down the pump and motor after 30 seconds if the gun is not in use and water is not flowing through the system. When the pressure washer operator pulls the trigger again, the motor and pump go on.

This feature is useful for situations in which the pressure washer operator is using a long hose, say, more than 25 feet, and it is not practical for them to go back and forth to the machine to turn it off during each break. The pumps and motors in standard electric pressure washers remain active whether or not water is flowing through the system, which can damage the motor and pump.

The Pressure Washers

The new Super Max(TM) pressure washers also feature tri-mode technology that allows the machines to provide steam, hot water, and cold water depending on the cleaning application. For heating, the equipment uses no. 1 or no. 2 heating oil, diesel or kerosene.

Super Max(TM) 12800 AST pressure washers offer pressure levels of up to 1000 psi and flow rates of up to 2 GPM. In addition to cold water cleaning, the machines offer hot water temperatures of 180º F to 210º F and steam temperatures as high as 330º F.

The Super Max(TM) 12820 AST pressure washers offer pressure levels of up to 1500 psi, flow rates of up to 3 GPM, and the same hot water and wet steam temperatures.

Daimer also offers a complete line of high pressure washers with AST®.

These mobile pressure washers are on wheels and include: a 25-foot, high-pressure steam hose; a three-foot trigger wand; assorted nozzles; and a powder-coated steel, high gloss, chip/chemical resistant case.
