ELECTRI-FLEX COMPANY, Roselle, IL USA, offers Type ZHLA jacketed metallic flexible conduit available in stock with many different colored jacketing options. Liquatite® Type ZHLA is a zero-halogen, low fire hazard solution, UL listed & CSA certified flexible electrical conduit.
Type ZHLA is in stock in both its standard color, black, as well as a variety of colors, including blue, green, yellow, orange, red, and white. The benefits of using colored flexible conduit include saving time and money in maintenance and repair situations, enabling quick circuit identification, as well as providing a visible warning to use caution in and around specific areas. Installations requiring color customization include data centers, hospitals and healthcare, caution areas, construction, automotive industry, fire alarms, security systems, dairy equipment, plus many more.
Type ZHLA is ideal for field installations in confined, public areas because the thermoplastic polyurethane jacket has excellent flame resistance, as well as low smoke, and toxicity generation characteristics. It omits low amounts of non-toxic smoke, has a low flame spread, is self-extinguishing, and non-halogen emitting. The flexible inner core is made from a spiral-wound strip of heavy-gauge, hot-dipped galvanized steel, providing high mechanical strength. Type ZHLA falls well below the allowable maximums for the following standards: UL 94 & UL 360 for flammability, ASTM E162 for low flame spread, and ASTM E662 for low smoke generation. ZHLA has a UL working temperature range of -40° C to 80° C in air, 60° C when wet, and 70° C in oil.
