Color Camera suits industrial vision applications.

Press Release Summary:

Housed in 130 x 60 x 50 enclosure, CV-M91 is produced in PAL (752 x 582 pixels) and NTSC (768 x 494 pixels) versions with asynchronous trigger and readout modes. It uses 3 interlaced 1/3 in. CCD sensors and features standard C-mount thread lens attachment. Product outputs pure pixel information, and prism assembly features co-site sampling, where all 3 CCDs are aligned to each other without spatial offset. Its Y/C output complements existing RGB and composite video outputs.

Original Press Release:

Analog RGB Lives on in the New CV-M91, a 3-CCD Industrial Color Camera

Even in this digital day and age, the analog video interface is still very popular, in both the monochrome and the RGB 3-CCD camera worlds. To service this market, JAI has launched the new CV-M91 3-CCD industrial color camera, based on the popular CV-M90 model. The major difference is its improved optical front end (prism and CCD) and more versatile interfacing. The CV-M91 uses the latest generation of interlaced 1/3" CCD sensors, providing higher sensitivity and lower smear. The prism block has also been improved for better color reproduction. The lens attachment is a standard C-mount thread for easy lens selection. With the addition of a Y/C output, which complements the already existing RGB and composite video outputs, a wide choice of interfacing alternatives are offered. A composite sync input has also been added, greatly simplifying synchronization between multiple cameras. Through its compact and rugged design, housed in a 130(l) x 60(w) x 50(h) enclosure, the CV-M91 is ideal for industrial vision applications. With its versatile interfacing capabilities and variety of asynchronous trigger and readout modes, it can easily be incorporated into applications such as on-line color inspection, identification and measurement. Equally important for industrial vision is that the color or pixel information is not manipulated inside the camera. The CV-M91 outputs the pure pixel information, and the prism assembly features co-site sampling, where all three CCDs are aligned to each other without spatial offset. This is not the case in other types of 3-CCD cameras for medical or scientific use. The CV-M91 is produced in PAL (752 x 582 pixels) and NTSC (768 x 494 pixels) versions, and is available as a standard product. The CV-M91 is available now. Volume pricing is available upon request.
