Lexir's 5C Step Chuck Collet Closer Holds Parts Measuring up to 6" in Diameter



LEXINGTON, KY (November 21, 2005) - Lexair's economical 5C pull-back style collet closers are now offered with a threaded nose. The closer accepts standard 5C collets up to 11/16" in diameter, 5C step chucks for parts up to 6" in diameter, and expanding nose 5C collets for I.D. holding.

Operating at a maximum of 150 psi air or 750 psi hydraulic, the drawtube force is 7.5X line pressure. This yields a theoretical champing force of 1,688 lbs. on air and 8,438 lbs. on hydraulic at maximum drawtube force.

The 5C joins the bigger 35J and 22J models as the newest additions to Lexair's extensive line of precision air and hydraulic collet workholding systems.
