New Line of Precision ER Collet Chucks Introduced by Royal Products

Royal Products has introduced a new line of Precision ER Collet Chucks with runout guaranteed to be less than 0.0001" TIR between the O.D. taper and I.D. socket. When used in conjunction with Royal Ultra-Precision ER Collets, overall system accuracy is guaranteed to be 0.0003" TIR or better. This high accuracy helps to ensure an evenly distributed chip load and results in a significant increase in cutting tool life.

All Royal ER Collet Chucks incorporate a tapered shank ground to AT-3 specifications for a precise fit with the machine tool spindle taper, and a specially ground clamping nut to ensure near-perfect roundness. These features result in reduced vibration, increased rigidity, and higher clamping force on the cutting tool. Each Royal ER Collet Chuck is dynamically balanced to G2.5 at 18,000 rpm and includes a serialized balance certificate. A central thru-coolant feature is standard on all models.
