RF In-line Coax Connector Shrinks another 60% in size!!
User friendliness, shock-resistant strategies are in for new generation of high performance RF in line connectors.
First of its kind, Aliner Industries, Inc. has just released its SSMCX connectors for the GPS/802.11x Wi- Fi markets. This series offers snap-on convenience, reduced space requirements while maintaining the same high electrical performance as MMCX up to DC 6Ghz.
Thanks to their ultra miniature size and great shock resistance structure, the SSMCX series offer the design engineers the benefits of space savings combined with superior RF characteristics for compact, high-density mobile electronic equipments such as GSP/PDA, mobile wireless AP, PC notebook, and GSM/GPRS modules.
Expected to see its first major mass production in the new PC notebooks early February, 2005, the SSMCX connectors configure a minimal height of 2.50 mm and length of 7.85mm providing a 57%-59% of space saving to standard MMCX in-line series. Also compliant with RoHS requirements, Aliner's SSMCX cable-to-cable connectors deliver VSWR 1.30 max@1-3 GHz; 1.5 max@3-6 GHz, IR loss of -0.26dB.
The SSMCX connectors require less space since the use of a sleeve is also not required for cable assembly. This assures that while allowing higher connector densities the SSMCX connector minimizes the likelihood of damage or scratching to the panel body.
Snap-on connection is insured by a two-step and audible "Dia" sound patented mechanical structure. The SSMCX's connector surface is also designed to handle very compact assemblies where there is not enough space to disconnect by tools. Three visible gripping lines on the connector surface allowing maximum resistance for the hand.
To satisfy the demands of modern production facilities, the SSMCX series can be delivered in tray/reel packaging for high volume pick and place manufacturing with 7-10 days of lead time.
