CO2 Cylindrical Lenses stretch laser beam into line.

Press Release Summary:

Designed to produce astigmatism, CO2 Cylindrical Lenses stretch 10.6 µm laser beam into line shape and are offered with anti-reflective coatings that typically provide 0.5% max reflectance per surface at 10.6 µm and normal AOI. ZnSe units are available in sizes from 1-2 in. diameter with focal lengths from 5-30 in. and ±0.5% tolerance. Offered in round or square models, lenses provide 40-20 scratch-dig surface finish and 1 fringe surface accuracy at 633 nm.

CO2 Cylindrical Lenses Stretch Laser Beam into a Line

A line of ZnSe cylindrical lenses that focus light into one dimension only and are available in a variety of focal lengths and configurations has been introduced by Laser Research Optics of Providence, Rhode Island.

Laser Research CO2 Cylindrical Lenses are designed to produce astigmatism, stretching a 10.6 µm laser beam into a line shape and are offered with antireflective coatings to increase the light transmission. Featuring focal lengths from 5" to 30", with ±0.5% tolerance, these lenses provide a 40-20 scratch-dig surface finish and 1 fringe surface accuracy @633 nm.

Available in sizes from 1" to 2" dia. with ±0.005" CT, Laser Research CO2 Cylindrical Lenses are offered round or square with +0.000"-0.010" toler-ance and a light protective bevel. Centration error on these ZnSe lenses is 5 Arc-mins. max. The antireflective coating typically provides 0.5% max. reflectance per surface at 10.6 µm and normal AOI.

Laser Research CO2 Cylindrical Lenses are priced according to configuration and quantity. These products will be on exhibit at "FABTECH International" November 11-14, 2007, McCormick Place, Chicago, Booth 8033.
