CMS Technology Expands its Marine Communications Product Suite with DE70322T AIS Class B Demonstrator

Marine AIS Class B Technology Demonstrator – DE70322T
Maldon, Essex – 26 June, 2018 - CML Microcircuits is pleased to announce the release of the DE70322T AIS Class B Demonstrator, including a reference design package, further expanding its Marine Communications product suite.
The DE70322T package is an enabler for manufacturers to develop a new state-of-the-art, small form factor AIS Class B transceiver with market-leading performance, achieve an easy route to certification and reach the target market fast. The reference design package includes schematics, Gerber files, BOM and source code.
This device is suitable for AIS Class B Transceivers, SOTDMA/CSTDMA and Dual AIS Receiver operation applications.
The design integrates a high performance dual channel receiver / single transmitter on 161.975MHz (AIS channel 1) and 162.025MHz (AIS channel 2) in a very small PCB footprint (122mm x 55mm). Based around the flexible CMX7032 Marine AIS Processor platform, it also incorporates an embedded ARM controller for application code.
Out-of-the-box the unit delivers a standalone dual channel AIS receiver and source code which is provided as part of the reference design package. Full AIS Class B transceiver operation can be achieved via a Function Image™ download, available from the CML Technical Portal. www.cmlmicro.com
