CMOS Input Op-Amps consume 780 microamps at 2.5 V.

Press Release Summary:

Suited for sensor signal conditioning and battery-powered applications, Series TSV911/2/4 offers 8 MHz gain-bandwidth and is unity-gain stable for capacitive loads up to 200 pF, while Series TSV991/2/4 offers 20 MHz gain-bandwidth for gain up to 3 or above. Rail-to-rail units operate from 2.5-5.5 V and include ultra-low input bias current of 1 pA. To minimize handling and fabrication risks, op-amps feature 5 kV internal protection against ESD.

Original Press Release:

STMicroelectronics Delivers Wide Bandwidth, CMOS Input Op-Amps That Go Easy on Battery Consumption

GENEVA, March 9 /-- STMicroelectronics (NYSE:STM), one of the world's leading suppliers of operational amplifiers, today introduced two new families of rail-to-rail high Gain Bandwidth Product (GBP) op-amps that feature an excellent speed-to-current consumption ratio and come in space-saving packages to address sensor signal conditioning as well as battery-supplied and compact portable applications.

The TSV911/2/4 family offers an 8MHz gain-bandwidth product and is unity-gain stable for capacitive loads up to 200pF. The other family, the TSV991/2/4, offers a 20MHz gain-bandwidth product for gain of 3 or above.

Operating from 2.5V to 5.5V, all the devices consume only 780 microamps at 2.5V supply voltage. The op-amps' low power, together with their improved precision and the reduced die size, make them ideal for battery-powered applications where space board and low-current consumption are major priorities.

Other key features of all op-amps include an ultra-low input bias current of 1pA and 5kV or better internal protection that protects against electrostatic discharge (ESD), minimizing handling and fabrication risks.

All of the amplifiers are characterized for the -40 to +125 degree C temperature range and are available in SOT23-5, SO8, MSO8, TSSOP14, and SO14 ECOPACK(R) packages.

In production now, in quantities of 1000 pieces, the TSV911/TSV991, TSV912/TSV992, and TSV914/TSV994 cost $0.36, $0.62, and $0.96, respectively.
