MicroMain Introduces New Quick Tickets for Maintenance in Version 6.1

"Quick" Work Orders and Additional Features Emphasize Ease of Use in New Release of MicroMain XM

(May 6, 2004) AUSTIN, TX - MicroMain Corporation, a leading provider of asset and facility management software and services, today announced the release of Version 6.1 of MicroMain XM(TM), its computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)/enterprise asset management (EAM) system. This new release introduces Quick Tickets, which simplifies maintenance work orders, as well as additional new features emphasizing ease of use for customers.

A Quick Ticket is a "short form" of MicroMain XM's standard work order. Quick Tickets provide fast access to basic information, including description of maintenance to be performed, assignment of parts and labor, priority level, and update of work status. Because less time is spent completing a Quick Ticket work order, maintenance personnel are able to work more efficiently. This simplified version of the standard work order provides security benefits, as well-sensitive data, such as cost and charge information, does not appear on the form.

The new Version 6.1 enhances standard work orders, too, which currently include a pager interface, detailed inspection points, "add-on-the-fly" fields, and lost time incidents. Now users can email work orders as text or attachments to remote devices, including some mobile phones. New functionality enables users to identify work orders downloaded to a PDA or Pocket PC, and these handheld devices can read bar coded inspection points, as well.

Additional features include the ability to order and track contracted services through purchase orders. Users are also able to establish standard details-such as assigned shop, priority level, labor time allotted, and description-to automatically populate work orders for routine maintenance and inspections. Over 500 standard reports in the MicroMain XM suite now include new detailing of labor, parts, inventory and purchase order information. Version 6.1 also includes a new Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) report that tracks the entire asset lifecycle from acquisition through retirement.

MicroMain XM 6.1 reflects a Microsoft Outlook®-like look and feel. For users who prefer the original menus and navigation, MicroMain XM can be used in classic mode.

"We pride ourselves in listening to our customers, and this release incorporates many ideas proposed by our users," said Joe Brummer, Vice President of Marketing with MicroMain. "Quick Tickets, new cost tracking and reporting, advanced mobile options, and many additional features will clearly make the maintenance process faster and easier."

MicroMain XM 6.1 continues MicroMain's commitment to shipping software with the entire source code included, which is not standard practice for CMMS/EAM products in the market today. The source code, provided at no additional charge, gives customers complete control regarding customization.

"Customers continually tell us that ease of use is one of the major reasons they choose MicroMain XM, in addition to its comprehensive feature set," said Pat Conroy, President of MicroMain. "With Version 6.1, we have significantly enhanced our software functionality and taken ease of use to the next level."
