CMM Series measures to repeatable, precise tolerances.

Press Release Summary:

Comprised of XO55 and XO87 models, X-Orbit Series utilizes Renishaw TP20 or TP200 probing systems and offers volumetric accuracy of 2.5 microns. Use of fine grain, native-black granite produces thermal stability with natural vibration dampening. Each model has 2 measuring envelopes, with max 3D measuring speed of 700 mm/sec and max acceleration of 2,000 mm/sec². Measurement ranges vary from 500 x 700 x 500 mm to 500 x 1,000 x 500 mm and 800 x 1,000 x 700 mm to 800 x 1,500 x 700 mm.

Xspect Solutions Introduces New Wenzel X-Orbit Series of CMMs for the Budget-Conscious User

X-Orbit is a cost-effective derivative of the world-renowned Wenzel LH series of intrinsically accurate CMMs.

In response to manufacturing's desire for a basic "no-frills" CMM that still has the high level intrinsic accuracy and the ability to measure to repeatable precise tolerances, Xspect Solutions is introducing the new Wenzel X-Orbit Series of CMMs.

Like all Wenzel CMMs, the X-Orbit has been designed and built to exacting and rugged machine tool standards. It uses fine grain native-black granite producing thermal stability with outstanding dynamic performance, tremendous stiffness and natural vibration dampening. It utilizes the industry standard Renishaw TP20 or TP200 probing systems and offers volumetric accuracy of 2.5 microns.

Keith Mills, Xspect Solutions president says, "The X-Orbit is not a revolution. It's simply a derivative, a no-compromise CMM with proven performance for the budget-conscious customer. The machine provides maximum performance with no frills, at affordable prices starting at $50,000."

The X-Orbit Series includes two models, XO55 and XO87. Each model has two different measuring envelopes, and each with a maximum 3D measuring speed of 700 mm/sec with maximum acceleration of 2,000mm/sec2. The Model XO 5.7.5 has a measuring range (X Y Z axes) of 500mm x 700mm x 500mm; Model XO 5.10.5 has a range of 500mm; x 1000mm x 500mm Model XO 8.10.7 has a range of 800mm x 1000mm x 700mm; and the Model XO 8.15.7 a range of 800mm x 1500mm x 700mm.

The XO 55 Model has overall dimensions of 2505mm high, 1170 mm wide and either 1600mm or 950mm long depending on the desired measuring envelope. The XO 87 is 2951 mm high, 1471 mm side and 1976, 2553 or 3147mm long depending on the measuring envelope.

Wenzel GmbH is the 4th largest CMM builder in the world and manufacturers its CMMs intrinsically accurate, negating the need for the huge error compensation files to achieve quoted accuracies which have become the norm in past years from most CMM manufacturers. The black granite used on their CMMs is processed in-house at their impressive manufacturing facilities in Germany, not imported from China pre-finished...which is now the industry norm.

Xspect Solutions, Inc. headquartered in Wixom, Michigan is the Number 3 supplier of CMMs in the North American metrology market including; new Wenzel CMMs, and is the world's largest supplier of pre-owned CMM equipment, all equipped with its benchmark OpenDMIS(TM) software.
