Xspect Solutions Introduces New Wenzel X-Orbit Series of CMMs for the Budget-Conscious User
X-Orbit is a cost-effective derivative of the world-renowned Wenzel LH series of intrinsically accurate CMMs.
In response to manufacturing's desire for a basic "no-frills" CMM that still has the high level intrinsic accuracy and the ability to measure to repeatable precise tolerances, Xspect Solutions is introducing the new Wenzel X-Orbit Series of CMMs.
Like all Wenzel CMMs, the X-Orbit has been designed and built to exacting and rugged machine tool standards. It uses fine grain native-black granite producing thermal stability with outstanding dynamic performance, tremendous stiffness and natural vibration dampening. It utilizes the industry standard Renishaw TP20 or TP200 probing systems and offers volumetric accuracy of 2.5 microns.

The X-Orbit Series includes two models, XO55 and XO87. Each model has two different measuring envelopes, and each with a maximum 3D measuring speed of 700 mm/sec with maximum acceleration of 2,000mm/sec2. The Model XO 5.7.5 has a measuring range (X Y Z axes) of 500mm x 700mm x 500mm; Model XO 5.10.5 has a range of 500mm; x 1000mm x 500mm Model XO 8.10.7 has a range of 800mm x 1000mm x 700mm; and the Model XO 8.15.7 a range of 800mm x 1500mm x 700mm.
The XO 55 Model has overall dimensions of 2505mm high, 1170 mm wide and either 1600mm or 950mm long depending on the desired measuring envelope. The XO 87 is 2951 mm high, 1471 mm side and 1976, 2553 or 3147mm long depending on the measuring envelope.
