SoftMed Systems Previews Newest Clinical Data Solution at AHIMA

ClinTrac Fusion Will Enhance Staff Efficiency and Optimize Delivery of Patient Care

DENVER, Oct. 9 -- SoftMed Systems, a leading provider of healthcare information solutions, today announced the introduction of ClinTrac(R) Fusion(TM), which is designed to integrate information across multiple applications and present role-specific views of that information to support the specialized workflow of various members of the care team. Attendees at this year's AHIMA show were offered a preview of this newest SoftMed solution, which aggregates all relevant clinical data in a single location, ensuring that patient decisions are supported by the most current information.

ClinTrac Fusion provides role-specific screens to enable viewing and capture of information across multiple formats and applications, including paper files, patient information from HIS systems, emails, faxes, images, voice files and reports. The solution uses a single patient-centric database to ensure timely retrieval of all relevant data.

"SoftMed is excited to offer AHIMA attendees a sneak peek at our newest solution that is designed to help facilities increase efficiency to optimize delivery of patient care," said Don Segal, CEO of SoftMed Systems. "ClinTrac Fusion will not only increase productivity across the enterprise, but will help reduce costs and enhance decision-making by providing key members of the care team with the right information at the right time."

This comprehensive solution gathers information from multiple SoftMed applications including: Clinical Abstracting, a robust abstracting tool; APC Pro(R), which delivers an enterprise view of the ambulatory payment classification coding process; Care Planning Manager, which integrates case management, resource management, social services and discharge planning; Quality Manager, which helps facilities control quality management processes; Infection Control Manager, a tool to track and report infections; and ChartView(R), which enables document viewing from any location.

SoftMed is providing a demonstration of ClinTrac Fusion at their AHIMA booth (#1125). The demonstration showcases how an integrated solution of ClinTrac Fusion, Clinical Abstracting, ChartView and an encoder easily enables Remote Coding. ClinTrac Fusion will be available for purchase in 2007.
