Clear View Bag Expands Slitter Capacity
Clear View Bag Company has purchased a new slitter improving plant efficiencies. "It will allow for faster speeds, faster changeovers, tighter tolerances and less waste" according to operations manager Todd Romer. The slitter/rewinder was purchased from Barry-Wehmiller Companies, Inc. of Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Four Clear View Bag employees visited Barry-Wehmiller's for an intensive two day training session. The slitter/rewinder was installed and operational in Clear View Bag's Albany New York manufacturing facility within three days. The new machine will double the existing slitting capacity at ClearView

Clear View Bag is a domestic custom manufacturer of heat sealable packaging materials with two manufacturing facilities in Albany NY and Thomasville NC. They specialize in lower volume custom work in all sorts of constructions including custom plastic bags, plastic security bags, printed plastic bags, ziplock bags, wicketted bags, tape bags, and rollstock. This year marks the 50th year anniversary of Clear View Bag.
