Lexington, KY - May 17, 2007 - In 2007 Clark Material Handling Company will be celebrating its 90th anniversary of the introduction of the world's first material handling truck in 1917. Clark Material Handling Company, an industry leader since its founding in 1903, has built over 1 million forklifts during its long and successful history.
Debuting during CLARK's 90 Year Anniversary celebrations are several new models, including the C60/80, GEX, ESX, and the EWP30.
The C60/80 is an expansion of the highly successful Gen 2 series and ranges in capacity from 13,500 lbs to 18,000 lbs on two wheelbases. These newly designed heavy duty Diesel and LPG lift trucks have a fully automatic three speed transmission, planetary drive axle, wet disc brakes, new higher visibility uprights with shaft mounted forks, and a highly comfortable operator compartment with Clark full suspension seat. Many features are incorporated in the standard trucks, and a full line of options, including Clark hydraulic attachments are available.
Adding to the line of 100% AC powered products are the stand up counterbalanced ESX and the sit-down rider GEX. The ESX features a new multi-function control handle capable of performing up to three functions simultaneously, two-way fork leveling and a performance enhancement package for increased productivity. The 80 volt GEX with solid pneumatic tires incorporates a zero turn steer axle and powered reversing dual drive motors allowing it to operate in roughly the same size aisles as comparable cushion-tired electric trucks plus wet disc brakes and an interactive dash allowing full programming of the truck.
Expanding the existing product of the EWP45 is the economical light duty EWP 30 low lift pallet truck. The EWP's are equipped with separately excited drive motors and controls offering superior programmability, energy efficiency and reduced maintenance costs.
