Innovative New Development for Heat Insulation of Injection Moulding Tools
Supplementary to the proven clamping plates K10/..., HASCO is now presenting an innovative new development for heat insulation of injection moulding tools.
In this new compound clamping plate, the thermal insulating sheet is located and well protected between two steel plates in sandwich technique. All the components are firmly bonded by a special adhesive and pressure technique.
The new clamping plate series K101/... with integrated, permanently connected thermal insulating sheet is available in mould sizes from 196x196 mm to 396x496 mm and in steel qualities 1.2085 and 1.2312.
In applications with a hot runners or heated mould tools, this type of clamping plate offers obvious advantages:
o Magnetic clamping technique is possible.
o Improved handling for clean-room environments.
o Centring flanges without raised shoulders can be used.
o Additional machining of mould and insulation sheet (threads and through holes) is no longer applicable.
o The thermal insulating sheets are well protected (sheltered) against damage.
o The pressure load is distributed evenly over the whole area.
Partial overloading and the associated damage to the thermal insulating sheet, e.g. by clamping elements, is avoided.
o Homogenous pressure load over the entire area. Local overload caused by e.g. by clamping elements is avoided.
The insulating properties of the K 101/..., are almost identical with the
premium quality of the thermal insulating sheet Z121/... from the standard range.
Clamping plate dimensions, protrusions and system bores as well as Tolerances for parallelism and angle of the new K 101/... correspond to the standard version of the clamping plates K 10/... . The K 101/... are compatible and can be retro-fitted to the respective tool size.
