Certeon Announces Integrated WAN Acceleration and Secure Cloud Connectivity

Certeon 2012 Spring Edition Fulfills Enterprise Need to Accelerate and Broaden Application Access

BURLINGTON, Mass., - Certeon Inc., announced today the Certeon 2012 Spring Edition which enhances the ability of enterprises to virtualize their networks; improve user experience; and leverage existing infrastructure while increasing application use. With this new version, Certeon software is also packaged for ubiquitous Microsoft Windows deployments. It is easily loaded onto existing Windows Servers 2008 with no additional hardware necessary.

Certeon goes beyond traditional WAN optimization to consolidate multiple parts of the network and enhance application security. Certeon pioneered the move to optimizing Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), adding the ability to tunnel and selectively encrypt content. This version of software addresses critical IT issues of having storage and business continuity in the cloud including:

o Major performance gains with back ups

o Enhanced security for data

o Vendor independence

o And the ability to recover/restore data rapidly in hours instead of days, and minutes instead of hours Key Product Features

The Certeon solution addresses many concerns customers are facing with the following features:

o Software only solution

o Support for multiple hypervisors

o Multiple APIs for web services

o Support for Windows Server 2008 R2

o Support for files up to 100GB

o Integrated traffic shaping for both physical and virtual networks

o Intelligent caching for increased speed and improved the user experience WaterAid, an international organization working in 27 countries across Africa, Asia, Central America and the Pacific region that transforms lives by improving access to safe water, hygiene and sanitation in some of the world's poorest communities, recently deployed the Certeon Spring Edition.

According to Peter Heather, head of IT and systems for WaterAid, "We've invested very heavily in Sharepoint and using Certeon we'll be able to use it more effectively. Traditionally, communication to our globally dispersed field workers has been one-way, fed from our base in the UK. Information simply couldn't flow back to us. Due to the fact that no support exists in most of the countries we're working in, we needed something very easy to install, and that could be built within our original infrastructure, and didn't require hardware to house or upkeep. aCelera was the answer we were looking for."

"We continue to innovate to meet the current needs of our customers, as well as anticipate challenges that may arise for them in the future so we stay one step ahead," offered Massood Zarrabian, Certeon Chief Executive Officer. "Certeon's ability to do more with less is the idea behind our latest virtual appliance. There's no need for additional costly hardware deployment. In the virtual environment you can duplicate the same speed, security and user experience with the aCelera Spring Edition 2012."
