THK Ceramic Products Engineered for Growing Application Demands


Schaumburg, IL - (September 1, 2004) THK has expanded linear motion application possibilities with the development of products featuring ceramic components.

New at IMTS 2004, the Ceramic LM Guide Type RCR, the Ceramic LM Guide Type RSR, the Ceramic LM Guide HCR and the Ceramic Ball Spline LT are all based on existing and proven THK designs. Their use of ceramic rails, blocks, and in most cases, ceramic balls, contributes to their non-magnetic characteristics and increases their application potential. THK ceramic LM guides and ball splines are exceptionally ideal for use in medical equipment and semi-conductor manufacturing equipment. Ceramic components, as well as the use of titanium stoppers and resin circulation parts, result in a lightweight overall product and eliminate the possibility of corrosion.
