FANIMATION Goes Green with Introduction of the Landan(TM) Ceiling Fan Featuring Energy Efficient LED Luminaire

Zionsville, Indiana---Integrating understated elegance with energy efficient LED technology, FANIMATION President Nathan Frampton has announced the introduction of The Landan(TM) LED Ceiling Fan. With more than 25 years of experience, FANIMATION is an innovative manufacturer and marketer of ceiling fans featuring high profile designs and energy saving technology.

A true energy saver, The Landan(TM) features a dimmable LED (light emitting diode) luminaire, which is designed with a frosted white glass shade and CREE LEDs on top to create an uplight glow and an LED cluster to provide quality downlighting. The uplight includes eight LEDs that consume only 10 watts and produce 627 lumens, which is the approximate equivalent to one 60-watt candelabra bulb. The downlight uses 12 LEDs that consume 15 watts to deliver 855 lumens, which is the approximate equivalent to two 40-watt candelabra bulbs. The LED fixture offers a CRI (color rendering index) of 79 and a warm 2800K CCT (correlated color temperature), while ensuring a long lamp life of over 50,000 hours.

At a high speed, the Energy Star-rated Landan(TM) has an airflow of 5621 cubic feet per minute and an airflow efficiency of 194 cubic feet per minute per watt. The fan uses just 29 watts at high speed without the lighting, and a total of 54 watts when used with both the uplight and downlight. The Landan(TM), which is ETL Listed for interior use, offers a 60-inch blade sweep.

To complement the interior décor schemes of residences, retailers, hotels, and restaurants, the Landan(TM) is designed with blades offered in two stunning color combinations: a bronze accent metal finish with reversible cherry/walnut finished blades, and a satin nickel finish with reversible cherry/maple wood finished blades.

For easy installation, the fan includes a downrod, which is one inch in diameter and has a 4.5-inch length, with longer length rods available. The fan can be mounted to ceiling slopes up to 52 degrees, with optional accessories.

The Landan(TM) operates with an innovative DC-1255 Motor that generates more power and torque than conventional AC motors, but uses up to 70 percent less energy. Virtually silent, the DC motor is much smaller than traditional motors, resulting in a much lighter ceiling fan. Engineered with six speeds and reverse technology, the DC motor requires less electrical current by utilizing an internal array of magnets of opposing polarity.

A hand-held remote, developed to control fan speeds and directions, as well as light levels of the uplight and downlight, is included.
