CEAST Impact Pendulum Systems Package Promotion

Instron, a leading provider of testing equipment designed to evaluate mechanical properties of materials and components, is pleased to announce their promotional package for CEAST pendulums. We will be attending the ANTEC tradeshow in Boston, MA at the Hynes Convention Center May 1-5 (booth #199) as well as Plast-Ex in Toronto at the Toronto Congress Centre June 21-23 (#1943). Stop by our booth if you would like to see the 9050 Pendulum in action and speak with our expert, Ben Twombly.

The CEAST 9050 Pendulum is designed to meet the growing demand for accurate and repeatable impact testing on a wide range of materials. Used to determine the mechanical and physical properties of soft metals, polymers, composites, and finished products for both R&D and QC, the pendulum is capable of performing Charpy, Izod, and Tensile Impact tests ranging in energy from 0.5 - 50 J (.378 - 36.9 ft-lbs). With an uninstrumented hammer, the system provides the value of absorbed energy. Fully instrumenting the hammer allows for more in-depth analysis of how the material reacts to the impact. This information is useful in evaluating the type of failure, as well as the dynamic response of the material.

"Our new CEAST Pendulum Packages offer very high value for customers and provide a complete solution for pendulum impact testing," says Ben Twombly, Director, CEAST Americas. "Our customers have been very pleased with our new package pricing and systems performance. Some have even said this is the best pendulum system available today."

At this time we are offering competitive pricing for pendulum packages that meet international test standards including:

o ASTM D256, ASTM D6110

o ISO 179, ISO 180
