CCTV Camera provides continuous panoramic vision.

Press Release Summary:

Based on IMTERA(TM) processor, Vista eclipse(TM) captures single fisheye image that generates 2 independent analog outputs. Each output can display any combination of image view from full 180° panoramic to up to 4 virtual cameras, each with independently controllable, electronic pan-tilt-zoom functionality. Intelligent 360º video processing enables alarm functionality that includes assignment of virtual cameras for motion detection and alarm activation.

Vista Eclipse - Chosen as the Best New CCTV Product in Birmingham

Vista has won the 'Best New CCTV Product' award for Vista eclipse, its groundbreaking 360º camera. The award was presented last night at The Security Industry Innovation Award ceremony at Birmingham's Hilton Metropole Hotel at the NEC.

Based on the innovative yet proven IMTERA(TM) processor, Vista eclipse represents a breakthrough in 360º camera technology that will transform surveillance operations wherever full situational awareness is essential to a successful surveillance operation. Andrew Pigram, Vista Brand Director, believes that the Vista eclipse represents compelling value wherever continuous panoramic vision is required:

"There are numerous environments where this technology will be found highly effective, particularly sensitive locations such as cash rooms, retail outlets, interview rooms, safe rooms, pubs, public areas and other locations where a permanent unrestricted field of view is essential. Vista eclipse is a very discreet install which is clearly advantageous too. But its advantages extend well beyond panoramic vision. Because of the way the unit is designed and operates, installation and maintenance savings can be made by employing the Vista eclipse's multiple 'virtual cameras' to replace several conventional fixed and high speed dome cameras. So Vista eclipse should be considered an alternative to some traditional multi-camera installs as well as being an addition to the 360º camera market."

The Vista eclipse camera captures a single fisheye image that generates two completely independent analogue outputs. Each of these can then display any combination of image view from full 180º panoramic view to up to four virtual cameras (VCAMs), each with independently controllable 'electronic' Pan Tilt Zoom (ePTZ) functionality.

Intelligent 360º video processing enables advanced alarm functionality that includes the automatic assignment of virtual cameras for motion detection and alarm activation. Superior subject tracking is provided, with the active "VCAM" automatically tracking any movement within the camera's field of view. Vista eclipse(TM) motion detection algorithms use state of the art background analysis techniques to minimise false alarms. Motion detection automatically triggers a VCAM while the camera continues to monitor the full panorama.

Containing no moving parts and with all required imaging software embedded in the camera itself, the Vista eclipse(TM) requires no external software or PC's and is easier and cheaper to install than conventional and 360º alternatives.

Exclusive to Vista, the Vista eclipse(TM) is only available through Norbain, Video Imaging Supplies and Network Video Centre.
