Mykrolis Introduces Advanced QuickChange® ATM Non-Dewetting Cartridge Filters for Rapid Changeout and Improved Operational Efficiency

ATM Non-Dewetting Cartridge Filters for Rapid Changeout and Improved Operational Efficiency

Billerica, MA -May 10, 2004-Mykrolis Corporation (NYSE: MYK) today announced the newest additions to its QuickChange. product line - the QuickChange® ATM 0.035µm and 0.055µm cartridge filters. The advanced QuickChange ATM filters are designed specifically for aqueous-based chemicals used in wet-etch applications.

QuickChange ATM cartridge filters incorporate a new membrane pleat pack, which provides 40-percent increase in membrane surface area compared to QuickChange ATX filters. These improvements lead to higher flow rates, which aid in the recirculation and recovery of chemical baths. Mykrolis's patented non-dewetting membrane technology delivers unparalleled retention at 0.03mm and 0.055m, and has been manufactured to withstand high-temperature applications (up to 180°C). Shipped water-wet, QuickChange ATM products also reduce filter changeout time, minimizing system downtime for a lower cost-of-ownership.

QuickChange ATM cartridge filters incorporate Mykrolis's patented Chemlock® feature, which allows for safe, rapid filter change out with less handling and less mess at customer sites. "We're proud to offer the cleanest pre-wet, all-Teflon® products on the market; the QuickChange ATM cartridge filters set the benchmark for filtration devices by guaranteeing less than 25mg/device of metal extractables," said Randy Broomhall-Dillard, product manager at Mykrolis.
