CaseNET Care Management Suite Delivers New Cost Tracking and Billing Modules



WALTHAM, Mass., Dec. 20 / -- CaseNET, Inc., an innovative developer of care management software for workers' compensation and health care organizations, today announced the availability of CaseNET 3.0, a new release of its care management suite. The latest release adds new functionality to its web-based data capture and reporting solution focused on the economic and financial requirements of case management: a cost savings tracker and a billing and time tracking module.

The capture of quantitative care management metrics remains a significant challenge throughout the workers' compensation and health care industries. CaseNET 3.0 introduces an advanced cost savings module that automatically generates cost savings information directly related to the impact of care management on medical and vocational claim costs. Entry forms are dynamically created for 31 different metrics to simplify the capture and aggregation of total savings for a given case.

Effective care management operations are dependent upon an organization's ability to accurately track a nurse's time associated with the delivery of the service, and the applicability of that time toward eligible billing activities. Failure to manage this process results in error-prone billing and the inability to bill customers in a timely fashion. CaseNET 3.0 delivers an enhanced billing and time tracking system that supports internal, fee for service, task based and flat rate billing types for field case management, telephonic case management, utilization review and peer review services. A number of additional capabilities have also been added to this release, including continued refinement of the automated letter generation tool, and the introduction of the letter/communication management capability for end customer use.
