Firth Sterling Offers Solid Carbide Rod from Stock for Demanding Machining Applications



GRANT, ALABAMA-Now cutting tool manufacturers and users can obtain premium grade carbide rod from stock in unground, centerless ground and polished form.

Firth Sterling premium grade solid carbide rods are available ranging from 0.25" to 1.00" and from 3 mm to 38.4mm diameter. Two carbide grades are available:

· FR10 (10% cobalt) for machining high temperature aerospace alloys such as Titanium, Waspalloy®, Hastalloy-C®, and Inconel®.
· FR12 (12% cobalt) for high strength steel alloy applications.

Rod applications include drill bits, end mills, and reamers. Custom diameters and length are also available in these grades as well as metric sizes.
