With electronics and hardware continuing to trend ever smaller toward micro sized, HandyTube is answering market demand with its line of Ultra-Small Diameter (USD) tubing.
HandyTube’s engineered solutions consist of tubing products with an outside diameter (OD) less than .032" or roughly 0.80mm. The demands of these engineered products have been steadily increasing as the desire for smaller assemblies and higher-pressure requirements have become a necessity. The challenges related to producing these products may seem overstated, but with tubing inside diameters (ID) reaching the size of a human hair, the task at hand becomes immediately apparent.
An even larger feat is to produce USD tubing in timesaving long-coil form. Coil tubing allows for customers to reduce setup time as well as scrap generated from machine setup. It also enables consumers to produce many different fabricated items from the same coil stock.
