Softing Releases New FG-300 CANbus To Ethernet Gateway



Newburyport, MA - The new FG-300 CANbus to Ethernet Gateway allows users to integrate data from up to three CAN or CANopen networks directly into applications including data acquisition, inventory control and production data collection without any change to existing hardware and it's application. Minimum system requirements for the FG-300 include a PC with Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000 or Windows XP.

Complete installation of the FG-300 is completed in minutes saving significant time and can be easily configured to integrate into higher - level applications by using OPC as it's standard interface to CANopen applications. Any Web browser can access the FG-300's built-in Web pages to execute device integration and diagnostics allowing total flexibility in any application. Additionally, using Softing's universal API's for CAN or CANopen, permits any user to integrate all forms of data into customized control applications.

With the ability to utilize a variety of available 'off-the-shelf' configuration and analysis add-on tools, the FG-300 CAN to Ethernet Gateway is a cost efficient solution to integrate plant floor data into management systems using Ethernet architectures.
