CampusVue 8.2 Brings Web 2.0 to Higher Education


Latest release enriches student advising and personalization

BOCA RATON, Fla., March 7 /- Campus Management Corporation today announced the latest release of its CampusVue(TM) administrative software and CampusPortal(TM) Web portal solution for post-secondary education. Substantial enhancements to Campus Management's integrated Student Information System and student and staff portals include fully customizable home pages and functionality that enables more proactive student-faculty advising.

Important CampusPortal enhancements include:

o Migration of the entire portal product to Microsoft® .NET 2.0.
o Home page customization, allowing users to personalize their home
pages' content and layout.
o Content syndication with RSS, enabling students and staff to easily add
an unlimited amount of external content directly to their homepages.
o More proactive and comprehensive student-faculty advising with enhanced
event-driven workflows and contact management.
o Unofficial student transcripts now viewable online.
o Improved security through Active Directory support and authentication.
o Integration to CampusVantage(TM) Financials/HR solution provides
seamless transitions between the products and enables users to access
CampusVantage self service functions right from the staff portal.

In addition, enhancements to CampusVue student administrative system touch on the areas of financial aid, student accounts, activity scheduling, and satisfactory academic progress (SAP) reporting. Campus Management issues multiple releases for CampusVue annually, to help clients address regulations and accreditation, and to continuously expand the functionality of the product.
