New Everest Ca-Zoom 6.2

NEW EVEREST CA-ZOOM® 6.2 features Full Motion Video Recording and Streaming Digital Video and Temperature Warning System

Huerth, Germany - March, 7, 2006 - GE Inspection Technologies, a leader in technology-driven inspection solutions that delivers customer productivity, quality and safety, announces the market introduction of the Everest Ca-Zoom 6.2 with built-in image capture and digital video recording features. Already the industry's most advanced and versatile pan-tilt-zoom camera system, GE Inspection Technologies extends its Everest RVI product line capabilities with the new Ca-Zoom 6.2. Enhancements to this new inspection tool include CompactFlash® removable storage media, the ability to record
and playback over two hours of DVD format MPEG2 video and a USB streaming digital video port.

The Ca-Zoom 6.2 system will accept any storage capacity size Type I CompactFlash®(CF) card. The system features the ability to record digital still images and MPEG2 or MPEG1 video either on its internal 64MB flash memory or on the removable CF cards. Like the earlier Ca-Zoom 6.0, the ergonomic hand-held video controller provides a VGA resolution LCD screen for view and playback, and dual joysticks for camera pan and tilt, control buttons for zoom, lighting, image control, and extensive menu functions for image management.

The new Ca-Zoom 6.2 also features an integrated Temperature Warning System to protect you and your investment. With a temperature sensor built into the camera, the Ca-Zoom provides the user with three levels of on-screen temperature indication to prevent damage from hot environments.

The Ca-Zoom 6.2 has two camera head options that offer wide-angle and tele-zoom views and variable lighting control. The smaller PTZ100 camera head (10x optical with 4x digital zoom for a total 40x zoom capability) can fit into 100 mm (4.0") diameter nozzles or flanges. The larger PTZ 140 (25x optical with 12x digital zoom for a total 300x zoom capability) requires 150 mm (6.0") diameter access ports for larger tanks and vessels. In addition, the Ca-Zoom 6.2 system offers a fully-integrated parallel laser measurement accessory for the PTZ140 or PTZ100 camera heads. The lasers provide a 50.8 mm (2.0 in) reference target on the image being inspected to allow use of built-in comparison measurement software.
