Calibration Source provides radiometric calibration.

Press Release Summary:

Blackbody Calibration Source, Model M395, can reach temperature of 2,500°C while also providing for near ambient temperature calibration. It allows calibration of infrared instruments with wavelengths from 500 nm to 20 µm. Highly uniform emitter temperature insures that infrared instruments with different fields of view are equally accurate during calibration. Due to 500°C per minute slew rate, Model M395 can replace number of existing blackbody sources.

New Universal Blackbody Calibration Source for the Most Demanding Radiometric Calibration Requirements

Mikron Infrared, Inc. has introduced the highly innovative M395 Blackbody Calibration Source, which fulfills the most demanding requirements of modern radiometric calibration. This unusual instrument satisfies what up to now has been two seemingly irreconcilable design criteria. It has the ability to reach an extremely high temperature of 2500°C yet also satisfies the need for near ambient temperature calibration.

The M395 allows the calibration of infrared instruments with wavelengths from 500nm to 20µm with much higher precision that previously possible. Highly uniform emitter temperature also insures that infrared instruments with different fields of view are equally accurate during calibration.

Due to its incredible speed of 500°C per minute slew rate, the M395 has the potential to replace a number of existing blackbody sources within an industrial facility or research laboratory. In addition, hundreds of calibration points can be read and stored from simultaneous reading of blackbody source temperature via controller digital communications output and instrument output under test using Mikron custom calibration software.
