Fluke MET/CAL® Plus Software Version 7.2 Adds Broader Instrument Support and New Features to Manage Complex Calibration Workload Efficiently and Cost-Effectively
Includes new RF calibration procedures, flexible standards and Pack/Unpack utility
EVERETT, Wash. - Fluke Corporation today announced Fluke MET/CAL® Plus Software Version 7.2, which includes broader instrument support, new RF calibration features, flexible standards, and a new Pack/Unpack utility for easier transport of files between MET/CAL systems. The Unpack utility can be used on any MET/CAL system at version 7.0 without upgrade and can be downloaded free from fluke.com/procedures.
Fluke MET/CAL Plus calibration software is designed to be a complete solution for helping calibration professionals manage a complex workload efficiently and cost effectively. It includes MET/CAL software for automated calibration and MET/TRACK®, a dedicated system for managing and reporting test and measurement assets. Version 7.2 allows MET/CAL Plus to address an expanded workload, particularly in the area of RF calibration. Function Select Codes (FSCs) including GPIB commands, operational limits mapping and accuracy files for calculating measurement uncertainty are now available to support these instruments:
o Fluke 9640A RF Reference Source
o Agilent N5531S Measuring Receiver
o Agilent PSA Spectrum Analyzer - traditional spectrum analysis and phase noise functions
o Agilent 5350, 5351 and 5352 Microwave Counters
o Fluke 8845A and 8846A 6.5 Digit Precision Multimeters
o Fluke 5320A Multifunction Electrical Tester Calibrator
o Fluke PM6690 Counter/Timer/Analyzer
With the new flexible standards in MET/CAL Plus Version 7.2, calibration professionals can write or modify existing procedures to enable substitution of equivalent standards rather than being locked into a specific reference model. This can save significant development time and effort in situations where professionals are writing procedures for multiple labs that may have different instrument models to support. Additionally, Version 7.2 includes more than 15 enhancements to the MET/CAL procedure language that make procedure writing easier and more powerful, including named variables and slewing for user-configured instruments. The MET/CAL procedure library is updated to include a range of new or enhanced procedures for equipment including spectrum analyzers, signal sources and oscilloscopes. To view or download procedures from the on-line library, go to fluke.com/procedures.
Fluke MET/CAL Plus Software Version 7.2 is available immediately at a US list price of $7,860. The upgrade price is $1,120 (US list). Active MET/SUPPORT Gold members will receive a free upgrade.
