Pulizzi Engineering, Inc. Announces the Vertical Cable Restraint and Management System

Santa Ana, CA-Pulizzi Engineering, Inc. announces the release of a new Vertical Cable Restraint and Management System. The new KIT-CABLRES-2X is available in several versions to accommodate any Pulizzi vertical power distribution unit. The system features a cable tray that secures to the power distribution unit with mounting clamps. This innovative design allows the cable tray to be retrofitted in the field or connected to new power distribution units. The cable tray has a series of square holes running the length of the power distribution unit. The holes are used in conjunction with cable ties to secure the cables to the tray. This patented design allows transverse cable routing. This provides two functions in one system, by securing connections and providing cable routing/management.

This cable retention method has several advantages over conventional locking connector technologies. Locking connectors are typically 50% to 300% more expensive, which makes the KTT-CABLRES a less expensive solution. Most locking technologies can easily be defeated with a twist or a flip, but the Pulizzi system requires a cable tie cutter to disconnect, making it a more secure solution. The dense nature of modem power distribution makes it hard to find room for bulky locking connectors and bale clips. The KIT-CABLRES allows maximum connector density, by allowing the use of high density, economical, straight blade connectors.

The cable management feature on the KIT-CABLRES allows for simplified installation and wire routing, reducing maintenance and repair costs. The KIT-CABLRES is available in several versions ranging in cost from $99 to $149 list price, with OEM quantity discounts available.
