BVS Updates YellowFin WiMAX Test Receiver with High-Speed Scanning
METUCHEN, New Jersey. - March 31, 2009
YellowFin Mobile WiMAX Tablet Analyzer continues to make waves at the CTIA show in Las Vegas.
Berkeley Varitronics Systems announces the latest enhancements to the YellowFin(TM) Mobile WiMAX Tablet Analyzer at CTIA show in Las Vegas this week (April 1-3 Booth 4906). The YellowFin's superior platform is a calibrated digital receiver designed for 802.16e Mobile WiMAX coupled with complete spectrum analysis which does not rely upon any WiMAX cards or chipsets. By fully harnessing the power of the high speed dual core DSP and custom proprietary gate arrays, BVS has achieved a measurement speed of 40 samples per second and measure all 114 preambles. Further enhancements include a new channel scan feature allowing the user to quickly find active WiMAX channels.
"We have found it is important to listen to our customers carefully and provide the most comprehensive measurement platform at literally 1/3rd of the price of our competition. Current YellowFin customers will soon appreciate these important enhancements and receive the firmware & software updates at no charge under the warranty package.", says Scott N. Schober, President/CEO of Berkeley Varitronics Systems.
YellowFin has been shipping since the end of 2008 and was the first handheld WiMAX demodulating (preamble basis) test receiver on the market. YellowFin updates will be available mid-Q2 and downloadable via www.bvsystems.com and free to all current YellowFin customers.
