Butterfly Valves adapt to application requirements.

Press Release Summary:

Large diameter, fabricated Butterfly Valves range from 14-24 in. One-piece plastic body, in PVC, Natural PPL, or PVDF stands up to high flow rates and elevated stress conditions of larger size systems. Full face liner eliminates need for flange gaskets. Positive manual valve operation is ensured by high-torque-output gear box. Each valve includes 2 lifting lug/handles, as well as slotted bottom bolt holes, allowing single person to position and install valve.

Fabricated Large-Diameter All-Plastic Butterfly Valves Provide New Applications Flexibility

A new line of all-plastic butterfly valves from Hayward Industrial Products has been especially designed to be easily and cost-effectively adapted to unique application requirements. The line features a special fabricated design that makes it feasible to make changes in the valve body that would be either impossible or prohibitively expensive with valves of standard molded construction. For instance, the need for expensive and clumsy flange adapters can be eliminated by providing a 14-inch size valve with a 16-inch bolt circle. It's an easy, inexpensive modification for a Hayward fabricated valve, but an almost impossible modification for a molded valve.

Large diameter fabricated butterfly valves from Hayward range in sizes from 14 to 24 inches. They are specially designed to take into account application parameters encountered in larger size piping systems. The rugged one-piece plastic body, in PVC, Natural PPL or PVDF, stands up to the high flow rates and elevated stress conditions of larger size systems. The valves also feature a full face liner that eliminates the need for expensive flange gaskets. A specially designed "sphered" disc in this design makes it easy to seal the valve bubble-tight with a minimum of operating torque.

Each of these new Hayward Large Diameter Butterfly Valves comes standard with two lifting lug/handles as well as slotted bottom bolt holes. These features, coupled with the valve's light weight
allow a single person to position and install even the largest size valve, thus reducing installation costs.

Easy, positive manual valve operation is ensured by the heavy-duty, high-torque-output gear box. If automation is required there is a wide range of electric and pneumatic actuation to choose from. Actuators mount to a corrosion-resistant plate and are then coupled to the valve with two easy-to-access bolts. In most cases no additional spacers or adapters are required.
