Pragmatix Launches Pragmatix Gold(TM)
New Built on IBM Express Advantage offerings to provide better IT security, reliability and compliance to hedge fund and financial services organizations
ELMSFORD, N.Y., Sept. 12 -- Pragmatix, Inc., an IBM Business Partner and managed services provider, today introduced its newest service for hedge funds and financial organizations: Pragmatix Gold(TM). As a Built on IBM Express Advantage offering, the Pragmatix Gold(TM) solution delivers the highest levels of IBM hosting reliability and security, with e-mail and BlackBerry support, backup, and server management to hedge funds and financial services companies with 75 or fewer desktops.
Pragmatix Gold(TM) provides a dedicated installed IBM xSeries server and is professionally managed at a secure IBM e-Business Hosting Facility.
Pragmatix Gold(TM) also includes the Microsoft Small Business Server suite, which consists of Outlook e-mail and shared calendars, web site hosting, corporate intranet, secure file server, SQL database and SharePoint collaboration tools, secure remote access, mobile messaging, anti-virus and anti-spam services. Tape backup, server management, security patching, and 24x7 monitoring and support are all managed by Pragmatix as part of the service.
By providing hosting at a secure IBM data center, along with regular server maintenance, intrusion detection, and firewall services, Pragmatix Gold(TM) reduces the risk of power failures, data loss, or security breaches while allowing for increased productivity.
Bill Abram, president of Pragmatix, said that the firm's hedge fund clients are concerned primarily with compliance, BlackBerry, email recovery and business continuity. He and his team developed Pragmatix Gold(TM) to address these concerns.

Results of a recent study conducted by privacy management research firm, Ponemon Institute, found that only 37% of IT professionals feel that their companies are effective at managing security breaches.
