NexVue Delivers First Affordable Business Analytics Solution to Middle Market Organizations

STAMFORD, Conn., Oct. 5 / -- NexVue Information Systems, an award winning* financial and operational systems integrator has officially launched the BIO(TM) (Business Information Optimization) product line. BIO is the first packaged business analytics application to address the specific requirements of the medium-sized company. BIO leverages the Microsoft Business Intelligence platform to provide a cost-effective venue in which non-technical business users are empowered to perform self-service, interactive, operational, strategic and financial analytics.

According to NexVue founder Dan Schwartz, CPA/MBA, "BIO is an easy-to-use and deploy solution providing breakthrough business value for the middle market. BA solutions have not gained a foothold in this market due to the complexity, cost and risk of integrating solutions designed for large organizations. BIO's sophistication is in its simplicity. The BIO framework reduces implementation risks and overall costs by leveraging established Microsoft BI technology, allowing users to focus on business instead of technical issues. BIO is the first interactive business intelligence solution to enable organizations to achieve informational efficiency for about 25 to 30 percent of the cost of competing applications," said Schwartz.

BIO clients already include Entec, Delta Power, Greenfield Online, Sensus America and BMT Commodities; the latter two have less than 25 full time employees.

"BIO is an important breakthrough because it turns the millions of data points collected by an organization into actionable knowledge within the context of each user's job and responsibilities," Schwartz added.

According to Schwartz, BIO substantially reduces deployment costs by dramatically reducing the knowledge base typically required to implement a BA solution. This changes the classic implementation model and enables internal and external consultants to provide solutions that typically require three to five years of technical and development experience. "By eliminating reliance on technicians who are not directly involved in the business process, we can reduce the time and cost of implementation resulting in a superior solution that reaches further into the organization," Schwartz said.

BIO is designed to deliver information in custom-tailored formats based on each user's need and level of sophistication including dashboards with alerts, interactive report cards, presentation creation and in-depth analysis. The BIO presentation layer is based on a many-to-many relationship between business roles, business objectives and collections of frames or views to satisfy those objectives. It provides core information and actionable knowledge. BIO even identifies anomalies today based on what has happened in the past. "Features such as adaptability, self-service, interactive capabilities and pre- configured dashboards are designed to drive high adoption rates throughout an organization, resulting in smarter work through actionable knowledge," Schwartz said.

BIO uses a hierarchy-based report creator to extract information from internal and external data sources. A user-friendly wizard, similar to those on tap in other Microsoft-based applications, allows users to drill down to any level and create reports of varying complexity to support and enrich any function across the enterprise, such as accounting, sales or IT. BIO supports a full range of complimentary reporting and presentation formats. Graphical tools and icons enhance visual presentation. It is compatible with Microsoft Dynamics solutions such as Great Plains and Solomon software as well as non-MS applications including JD Edwards and PeopleSoft.

"Because extendable connectors exist for standard Microsoft applications, it can be installed with full functionality often in one day," Schwartz said. "BIO is a low-risk, low cost approach to reporting and analytics that can easily scale from a handful of users to hundreds or thousands and from a standard accounting system to include homegrown systems as well," Schwartz adds.

NexVue has enlisted TemTec Corporation (Netherlands), a developer of enterprise class multi-dimensional viewers to augment BIO's user interface. Dave Henry, vice president of business development said, "BIO eliminates the extraordinary time and risk of custom data warehouse development while preserving the flexibility of combining and organizing information that is company specific. NexVue offers mid-market companies a chance to deploy BA systems across the enterprise with robust functionality at the lowest possible cost."
