Ashtabula, OH: A new bulk laundry cart from laundry product manufacturer Meese Orbitron Dunne Co. (MOD), Ashtabula, Ohio (www.MODLaundry.com), puts worker safety front and center. The new 72S bulk linen truck combines an ergonomically low frontal opening with the company's signature plastic support base to invite easy access to laundry and reduce bending and reaching while eliminating the potentially dangerous, sharp edges and splinters of worn metal and plywood bases, respectively. The sturdy, rotomolded plastic base features a smooth, rounded design that is also waterproof and cannot rust or deteriorate due to weather or frequent washdowns.
Developed to aid hotels, hospitals, resorts, restaurants, health clubs and other laundry facilities in complying with OSHA's general duty clause 29 USC 654 covering ergonomics while supporting worker safety, production and morale, the MOD 72S laundry cart also includes designed-in hand holds positioned for secure, efficient movement, premium, industrial-strength casters with optional safety brakes and optional recessed safety tow hitches that help prevent bumps, trips and falls.
The new 72S industrial cart is rotationally molded from 100% waterproof polyethylene with a no-metal interior to eliminate the potential for snags with linens and workers and accommodates up to 1,000 lbs. on a standard footprint. A sturdy, molded roof and door and snap-on netting are available as options to secure linens inside the cart during transport and to deter theft.
