Building4Media Expands Ecosystem to Adobe® Premiere® Pro Software

Adobe Premiere Pro Integration with FORK Provides Easy and Efficient Editing

LAS VEGAS - At the 2011 NAB Show, Building4Media, a leader in advanced broadcast and production automation software solutions, announced FORK Production Suite integration with Adobe's Premiere Pro CS5 software. The new plugin will allow users to directly export into the FORK database. This plugin has full cross-platform support for both Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 and the forthcoming Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5.

"Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 is a top quality product that allows users to work natively with the video formats they want; accelerating production from scriptwriting to editing, encoding, and final delivery," said Chris Keath, director of product development at Building4Media. "By supporting Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 and the upcoming Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5, we are looking forward to supporting a craft editor for Windows and offering new options and system configurations to our customers."

"Building4Media's proven broadcast IT automation with Adobe Premiere Pro enables a workflow that is easy and efficient to set up, manage and use," said Ginna Baldassarre, senior product manager for professional video editing at Adobe. "Our customers will benefit from this integration which enables them to directly export from Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5 into the FORK database, which ultimately means faster productions from script to screen."

FORK Production Suite

In use for over 15 years, FORK is a complete media automation system. It ingests, edits, manages, distributes, and archives. FORK's instant proxies allow editing while media is being recorded. For more complex editing, FORK easily sends projects to Adobe, keeping the same bin structure, metadata and markers.

FORK 's proven technology is the most efficient way to run media facilities. The bigger the operation, the more FORK's HDTV file-based workflows and production automation processes save money and time. That's why giant media companies such as CNN and Reuters use it. FORK offers the shortest possible work process from ingest to playout. FORK operates on Mac and Windows and has applications in the Broadcast, Medical and Military fields.
