High Efficiency Brush Motor Eliminates Inefficient Wire-Wound Coil

The ThinGap(TM) TG3300 Series slotless brush PM motor from ThinGap Motor Technologies of Ventura, CA, incorporates an advanced technology armature coil assembly that eliminates the bulky iron core of conventional motors, making motors with low density wire windings obsolete. This revolutionary design eliminates cogging torque, iron and hysteresis losses plus achieves very high power efficiency over a wide speed range. The TG3300-70B delivers a maximum continuous torque of 80 ounce-inches at 10,000 rpm rated speed point, using an input voltage of 24 vdc and a current of 27.5 amps. This motor is rated at over 1 H.P., yet weighs less than 34 ounces, resulting in an industry leading power-to-weight ratio. The TG3300 Series was designed for applications where acceleration, smooth operation, high power and light weight are important, such as: robotics, material handling, and packaging machinery. The 89% system efficiency is appealing for battery-
powered applications where power conservation is critical.

The TG3300-70B is thermally rated for high performance operation up to 160°C ambient temperature conditions Armature inductance measures below 20 micro henries and line-to-line resistance is 0.087 ohms @ 25°C. The unit size measures 2.00" OD by 3.75" long. For further information, please contact ThinGap Motor Technologies at (805) 477-9741, fax to (805) 477-9743, or visit our website at www.thingap.com
