o Improved disaster recovery and business continuity via IP replication and transparent failover in the event of a disaster or a planned outage

o Storage consolidation via file migration that simplifies upgrades of the storage infrastructure

o Transparent and non-disruptive data management and movement that requires far less administrative time and effort

Hitachi Data Systems will also partner with Brocade to utilize Brocade StorageX for services designed to help customers who need assistance with heterogeneous file migrations, data mobility, and non-disruptive migration of existing data to the Hitachi portfolio of high-performance NAS platforms.

"Brocade StorageX is one of the top file virtualization and management solutions on the market today, and we see Brocade as a key enabler in delivering our end-to-end file services strategy to our customers," said Michael Hay, senior director of Product Strategy, Hitachi Data Systems.
