BRECOflex CO., L.L.C. Expands Their Move-Series with The Introduction of Open-Ended AT8 MOV for Linear Drives
Eatontown, NJ, January 6, 2023 - BRECOflex CO., L.L.C., the maker of high precision drive components announces that they have added AT8 open-ended timing belts to their move-series product line.
BRECOflex CO., L.L.C. has expanded the move-series timing belt product line with the addition of AT8 MOV Open-Ended M for Linear Drives. In 2021, they launched AT8 truly endless BFX version but the customers' need for a highly accurate, yet smaller linear drive belt prompted the development of the AT8 MOV open-ended version.
“AT8 MOV is the ideal belt choice for compact yet dynamically-critical linear drives. One of the great advantages of this open-ended timing belt is that is has the same specific-stiffness and settling time as the larger AT10 MOV while the smaller pitch adds the advantage of a reduced polygonal effect for smoother running,” says Todd Mooij, Applications Engineering Manager at BRECOflex.
About the Move-series Product Line
Move-series timing belts are FEA optimized, laminate coated polyurethane timing belts with galvanized steel tension members. This re-engineering of the standard timing belt offers up to 75% greater stiffness and tensile strength with 30% more tooth shear strength, on average.
For design engineers to end-users, making the switch from standard polyurethane timing belts to move-series allows for a decrease belt width while maintaining the same strength and safety factor for a more compact, quieter drive. More so, the laminate coating and optimized tooth design significantly increases performance life.
Move-series timing belts are available in open-ended for linear drives in AT8, AT10 and AT15 with standard widths of 25, 50, 75 and 100mm. Move-series truly endless BFX for power transmission drives comes in AT8, AT10 and AT15 pitches in standard widths of 16, 25, 32, 50, 75, and 100. For either construction type, in-between widths are available upon request.
