New Sub-Micron Boring Head from Kaiser - Highest Level of Precision Diameter Adjusting Accuracy
Elk Grove Village, IL - BIG Kaiser Precision Tooling Inc. will introduce a truly revolutionary and patent pending new series of Kaiser boring tools at IMTS 2006. The new series has the distinction of an even finer adjusting resolution-micron and sub-micron (less than 0.001mm) steps of diameter corrections. This innovation will allow users to easily make fine incremental adjustments where critical diameter tolerances are required.
The sub-micron series sets a new standard for diameter adjusting accuracy, while still possessing Kaiser's worldwide reputation for the highest precision and repeatability of any boring tool system. The heads offer an easy-to-read and play-free tool carrier for direct diameter adjustment accuracy of 0.001 mm/div. Inch graduated heads will adjust to 0.00005"/div. on diameter. The high precision tool carrier locking system doesn't influence diameter and assures the best repeatability, even under high speed or interrupted cutting.
The series' six boring heads allow users to bore a range of 20-100mm (.787"-3.94"). The flexibility of the Kaiser KA connection permits a wide range of spindle interface requirements. All bore ranges and tool lengths are identical to existing Kaiser tools. The integrated counterweight can be adjusted to any bore diameter by separate scale to permit high speed operation.
Other new products for IMTS include:
o The popular 112 series for small diameter boring with integral shanks in CAT40, BT40, HSK-A63 or Capto C6. The integral design allows for a shorter projection to improve performance.
o Twin cutter boring system type TW insert holders with an adjustable lead angle suits any shoulder or chamfer angle.
o Insert drills for diameter 16-30mm (5/8"-1.181") with 3x and 4x diameter-to-depth ratio.
o Outside diameter turning tool flanges combined with high accuracy boring heads for boss or pin turning on machining centers.
o Chamfer rings for series 112 small diameter boring tools for sequence chamfers on bore diameters down to 12.6mm (.496").
