Thales Computers Announces Support for Wind River Tornado 2.2 Integrated Development Platform



Raleigh, NC, November 2002 - Thales Computers, a leader in providing PowerPC and Pentium VME computing solutions to OEMs and system integrators, has announced that it will provide support for the latest version of the Tornado® integrated development environment (IDE), Tornado 2.2, introduced in September 2002 as a significant upgrade to the market-leading VxWorks® real-time operating system (RTOS) by Wind River Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: WIND).

Thales Computers, an Associate member in the Wind River Partner Program, will support the Tornado 2.2 IDE with a comprehensive Board Support Package (BSP) that provides extensive feature support for all included hardware. The comprehensive BSP will be available for all Thales Computers boards equipped with VxWorks RTOS, beginning immediately. The entire VMPC6 family of single board computers along with the complete range of V4G4 signal processing VME boards can now be combined with the latest version of the Wind River product to create large clusters of computing nodes dedicated to run complex data and signal processing applications.
