IWKA Debuts New BP Series of BlisterPack Machines to U.S. at Pack Expo 2004

Intelligent machine controls and positive transfer system deliver continuous, trouble-free operation

FAIRFIELD, NJ - IWKA PacSystems, a market leader in tube fillers, cartoners and blister pack machines, will highlight its new BP Series of BlisterPack machines at Pack Expo 2004, Booth # S-1213/1512 in the South Building at McCormick Place in Chicago, November 7-11. Designed to provide pharmaceutical manufacturers with enhanced convenience, ease of operation, and regulatory compliance, the BP Series offers built in advanced technology highlighted by servo-drive performance, balcony-style design and a positive transfer system.

The balcony style design of the BP Series separates the mechanics of the machines from the drives, eliminating product clogs caused by particulate generation and dust.

Unlike other manufacturers' blister pack machines which are electronically synchronized, the BP Series is completely driven by independent servos that enable the adjustment of individual process times without affecting the rest of the stations.

In addition, the BP Series' positive transfer system ensures that blisters are always guided, transported through the machine in a continuous controlled fashion to eliminate the potential for jamming.

The IWKA BP Series BlisterPac machines can package up to 600 blisters per minute, and are available in either intermittent or continuous motion models.
