Company Granted Second DualVee Patent
Pittsburg, CA - February 7, 2008 - Today, Bishop-Wisecarver Corporation, manufacturer of the original DualVee® guide wheel and industry leader in guided motion technology, announced that it has been awarded a U.S. Patent by the U.S. Patent and Trademark office for its technology developed in the latest addition to its DualVee product line, integral guide wheels.
Available in carbon steel or polymer versions, integral wheels feature a one piece design with the stud or bushing incorporated in the wheel. Larger sizes feature a machined inner bearing race, while the smallest sizes use a swaged retaining technology to secure the wheel to the stud. With a lower profile and larger diameter fastener than the company's original DualVee (patented in 1967), new integral wheels provide greater rigidity and increased mounting torque capability.
"We are very pleased to have been awarded a second patent for our core technology," says Pamela Kan, president of Bishop-Wisecarver. "The acceptance of this patent clearly defines Bishop-Wisecarver's history of innovation, and further reinforces our position as the pioneer and industry leader of guide wheel technology. We are committed to our mission of providing Motion Without Limits."
