Press Release Summary:
SaniPure(TM)-60 clear, flexible, tubing may be sealed, bonded, welded, and molded with heat. Smooth inner bore reduces particle entrapment and microscopic build-up, and facilitates complete sanitation of fluid transfer. Fully autoclavable and sterilizable product has absorption rate lower than elastomeric tubing. It also exhibits low protein binding characteristics, low permeability qualities, and is non-cytotoxic, non-pyrogenic, and non-hemolytic.
Original Press Release:
SaniPure(TM) -60 Biopharmaceutical Tubing
Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics introduces SaniPure(TM)-60; a clear, flexible tubing with unsurpassed biocompatibility that is heat sealable, bondable, weldable, and moldable for custom assembly fabrications.
SaniPure(TM)-60 has an ultra-smooth inner bore which reduces potential particle entrapment and microscopic build-up; helps facilitate complete sanitation of the fluid transfer while improving flow characteristics. It has superior peristaltic pump life and is fully autoclavable and sterilizable.
SaniPure(TM)-60 has an absorption rate lower than virtually all elastomeric tubing currently in use, ensuring that common preservatives which are added during processing are fully optimized. SaniPure(TM)-60 has low protein binding characteristics which minimize active ingredient loss, as well as, low permeability qualities that helps maintain proper pH levels.
SaniPure(TM)-60 tubing complies fully with the requirements of USP Class VI, European Pharmacopoeia 3.2.6 and FDA 21 CFR Part 177.2600 criteria and is entirely non-cytotoxic, non-pyrogenic, and non-hemolytic. To ensure the superior characteristics of SaniPure(TM)-60, many other tests have been performed for biocompatibility and are documented for sensitive applications.
