DDP's Bi-Color LED Design Illuminates Portable Electronic Equipment Enclosures

Engineered LED solutions displayed in portable task lighting application...

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (November 8, 2007) - DDP, a leader in engineered LED solutions, has developed an LED assembly that provides task lighting in portable electronic equipment enclosures. The bi-color design features alternating white and green LEDs that allow operators to use night-vision technology while working with the equipment. DDP has already delivered the low-profile, bi-color LED lighting strip assembly for a portable communication system designated the SPEAR (Self-Propelled Electronic Armored Rack).

"The rugged, low-profile, solid-state lighting strip is reliable, durable and can withstand the vibration caused from moving the electronic equipment," said Tony Toniolo, DDP President. "The LED design uses less power than an incandescent assembly and also has a longer life span."

Utilizing surface mount technology to reduce the profile of the LED assembly, DDP's LED light strip systems can be designed for any enclosure, rack or shelving unit. DDP's LED light strip solutions are available in a wide variety of standard and custom configurations.
