Helmel Checkmaster CMM Redesigned

NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Helmel Engineering has introduced a design upgrade of its
popular Checkmaster manual Benchtop CMMs. The Checkmaster has found favor in small
and medium sized shops, with limited budgets, that need a simple easy to use CMM offering a full set of 3D geometric feature and relationship measuring tools in a tough, reliable, accurate platform. The models have found particular favor with the Asian and Pacific Rim markets.

The new design features a full solid granite base plate, and combines both recirculating linear bearings and precision instrument roller bearings for rigid free moving action without need for a compressed air supply. The .00002" resolution steel positioning scales have been relocated on steel structures for the X, Y, and Z axes, each with locks and fine adjustment included. Checkmasters now feature a "window" in the Z axis cover that draws attention to the mechanical bearing concept.

Offered in 2 sizes, 12" x 12" x 10" and 16" x 20" x 14" (300 x 300 x 250mm and 400 x 500 x350mm), bundled systems complete with Renishaw probe, PC, 15" flat panel monitor, andthe company's Geomet Junior metrology software, start under $14,000.

Helmel Engineering Products, Inc., is the last remaining independent American
manufacturer of coordinate measuring machines, and has been designing and building a
broad range of CMMs for the past 33 years.
