1000°F Electric Belt Conveyor Oven
No. 823 is an electrically-heated, 1000°F belt conveyor oven, currently used for drying water-based glue on stainless steel mesh at a chemical filter manufacturer. Workspace dimensions measure 36" W x 15' D x 15" H. 160kW are installed in Incoloy-sheathed tubular heating elements, while a 7800 CFM, 5-HP recirculating blower provides a vertical downward air flow to the workload. This Grieve oven features a 16 GA, Type 316L stainless steel interior, aluminized steel exterior and 8" thick insulated walls, comprising 2" of 1900°F block and 6" of 10 lb./cu.ft. density rockwool insulation. The workload passes through the unit on a 30" W, 1" x 1" 316L stainless steel flat wire conveyor belt with a 1/4-HP motor drive and digital controller, variable from 0.5 to 10 feet per minute speed. The entire load, unload and belt return space remains hot with adjustable doors at each end. A side door allows service and access to the workload, as well. No. 823 is built to NEMA 12 electrical standards and includes a 650 CFM Type 304 stainless steel powered forced exhauster, digital indicating temperature controller, manual reset excess temperature controller with separate contactors and recirculating blower air flow safety switch.
