High-Precision Bellow Coupling Series BK2 "Split Hub" Design
Taking up the challenge for greater technical demands in modern machine design and construction, R+W has developed its BK2 series "Split-Hub" Bellow Couplings. These unique couplings are manufactured with a Split Hub and a stainless steel bellows. This hub design allows the user to assemble the coupling on existing equipment where shaft ends cannot be moved to accommodate assembly of couplings with a one piece hub.
The stainless steel bellow exhibits very high torsional rigidity with zero backlash. The bellow can compensate for axial, angular, and lateral misalignment simultaneously and has a very low moment of inertia.
The shaft hubs are custom bored of each side for shaft diameters from 3 to 80 mm (0.12 to 3.13 in.) with or without keyways.
Sizes are available for torque capacities ranging from 2 to 1,500 Nm (18 to 13,275 in. lbs.).
