New Fafnir® Superprecision Bearings Improve Machine Tool Performance
TORRINGTON, Conn., June 24, 2002 - Torrington will bring advanced Fafnir® superprecision bearing designs to IMTS on September 4 - 11 at McCormick Place in Chicago. Highlights at the company's exhibit (Booth D-4332) will include new Fafnir THSS True High-Speed Sealed bearings and WearEver bearings engineered for maximum service life.
Fafnir THSS superprecision angular contact ball bearings are designed to deliver superior accuracy and reliability at today's high spindle speeds. The non-contact dynamic seals keep contamination out while minimizing running torque for high-speed operation. Seals effectively retain grease inside the bearing, making it maintenance free compared to open, oil-lubricated bearings.
