MEMPHIS, Tenn. ? March 31, 2004 ? The Thomas & Betts Pumpac? LT is a new 24V battery-operated pump that is easily carried to the job site to power hydraulic tools. It features 10,000 psi of continuous pressure and works with all T&B remote head crimp and cutter tools. The pump weighs only 22 lbs, including the battery, and can be worn on one shoulder or strapped to a technician?s back and operated with a hand remote control. Ergonomic design makes the Pumpac LT power supply comfortable to carry, and it includes a carrying handle built into the body. The pump may also be operated from an external power source, including power from a motor vehicle connection. A hydraulic bypass switch and maximum pressure relief valve provide for operator safety. The pump operates at a quiet 64 db, and comes complete with strap and carrying case, charger with LED charge indicators, and two Makita nickel-metal hydride batteries. The Pumpac LT BPLT13970P2 provides convenient, portable power and can be operated in vertical, inclined or horizontal positions thanks to its hermetically sealed oil system. All T&B and industry remote head hydraulically-operated tools can be operated with this pump. Thomas & Betts remote head hydraulically-operated tools are UL listed and CSA approved.
